Happy Holidays 😎
The last blog of the academic year in Reception!
A big thank you to everyone who attended our Graduation ceremony yesterday. It was so nice to see you all and a big thank you for all your help and support throughout the year!
The year has flown by and it’s hard to believe that the year is almost over and the children will be continuing their learning journeys in Year 1 in September!
Here are some photos from yesterday;
In preparation for Year One, please can your child;
- Make a Heritage Box all about them (see homework), to help their new teachers learn all about them
- Visit your local library and become a member! Its free to join and you could complete the Summer Reading Challenge https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
- Visit the variety of parks and community farms across London. Surrey Docks Farm is an excellent local community farm which is free to visit.
- Access the Collins Hub and read some of the E Books online. You should have the log in details.
- Practise reading, writing and learning the Phase 2, 3 and 4 high frequency words to help best prepare your child for Year 1! The links below should help!
Have a wonderful Summer holiday! Thank you again for all your support!
