Welcome Back to Summer 1

Welcome back to school!

We are excited to begin a new term in Year 1 with lots of fun and learning ahead.

This term, we will be learning about the Royal Family, exploring shapes and symmetry in maths, preparing for Sports Day, and discovering our family trees.

In Maths, we’ll continue to build and strengthen our number knowledge through engaging activities and games which include adding and subtracting.

In Literacy, we’ll focus on writing recounts and imaginative stories, while also enjoying a variety of literacy games to develop a love of reading and writing. We are also learning about facts about the monarchy and why they are important figures in Great Britain.

Please continue to support your child’s learning at home by reading and writing together regularly…it makes a huge difference!
