Cricket in PE

Year 4 have had a great time practised their bowling, batting and fielding skills in their weekly cricket lesson on Fridays. They have worked on developing their hand-eye co-ordination as well as their underarm throwing. Both classes really enjoyed putting all these skills together to play a game.

Learning about area in Maths

This week, we begun our learning about the area of shapes. We enjoyed working in groups to create regular and irregular polygons using squares of the same size. After some exploration, we found that all of our shapes had the same size area (space inside the shape), even if they looked completely different!
